Domain Name Registration and Management Terms

These terms supplement the Silurian General Service Terms for every domain registration, transfer, renewal or management order.

1. Silurian contract and registry route

The Customer contracts with Silurian for the service shown in the order. Silurian acts as the customer-facing reseller and service interface and may submit operations through an accredited registrar, currently Netim where identified in the order, and the relevant registry. The Customer accepts these Silurian terms, not a separate reseller agreement with Netim. Silurian publishes links to the current registrar, registry and, for generic extensions, ICANN rules that govern the technical operation of a domain name.

2. Customer data, authority and cooperation

The Customer must provide complete, accurate and current holder, contact and supporting information, must be authorised to provide it, and must keep the holder email address accessible. The Customer must promptly answer reasonable verification, abuse, eligibility or contact-data requests from Silurian, the registrar or registry. Missing, inaccurate or unverifiable information can delay, reject, suspend or cancel an operation where the applicable registry process requires it.

3. Lawful name and use

The Customer is responsible for selecting and using the name lawfully, for checking relevant third-party rights, and for satisfying all applicable naming, eligibility, local-presence, acceptable-use and technical rules. A registration does not create trade-mark or other rights. The Customer must cooperate with a registry, court, authority or dispute procedure that lawfully concerns the domain.

4. No guaranteed registration

A search result, cart or payment does not reserve a name. Registration is complete only when confirmed by the registry. Premium status, eligibility checks, verification, reserved names, provider errors or a simultaneous third-party registration can prevent fulfilment.

5. Renewal, expiry and recovery

The order states the registration period and renewal setting. Registry cut-offs may precede the public expiry date. Renewal is effective only after registry confirmation. An expired domain may stop resolving, enter a grace or redemption period, incur additional recovery charges, or be deleted and become available to others. Silurian cannot guarantee recovery.

6. Transfers and configuration

Transfers require the correct authorisation, unlocked status and any registry-specific approval. DNS, DNSSEC, nameserver, contact or transfer changes may be asynchronous and are complete only when confirmed by the registrar or registry. The Customer is responsible for preserving working DNS and service configuration.

7. TLD-specific terms

Where an extension has special conditions, Silurian presents its applicable extension-specific terms once for every matching domain in the order. Those terms state the additional customer obligations drawn from the relevant registry and registrar operation. If a registry introduces a material mandatory condition before fulfilment, Silurian may pause the operation and request the instruction or acceptance required for that operation.
